So, a question about clothing. If a Brunette is out and about for the evening, or courting a Blonde, or fencing, or wearing a military uniform, would trousers ever be allowed or acceptable? Since in the Tellurian time-era equivalents of several of the Pura Districts it was quite alright, I was just wondering. I cannot imagine a Blonde ever wearing them, but I do wonder if a pair of smart and well-cut trousers would be considered fitting, depending on the circumstance, for a Brunette.
Well, not being brunette I suppose I am not the best answerer, but it is a question that has possibly not been entirely resolved.
Trousers do not exist in Aristasia Pura. It has been pointed out that Takarasiennes wear trouser - but then they also wear moustaches!
So certainly, strictly they are not an Aristasian thing. Do some brunettes bend the rules, and how acceptable is it?
Gosh, I don't know. But clearly a brunette in gentleman's evening dress or military uniform is a very different thing from a brunette wearing jeans or somesuch - even if it is regarded as fancy dress.
Oh and could I possibly ask for one of your MariMite pictures? You could pop it to aristasia at btinternet dot co dot uk. Then Her Royal Highness can have my current one and we can all be spared the Screaming Mimis!
Well yes, I did mean in the fancy-dress sense, not the jeans-around-the-house sense, and certainly not in a jeans-outside-the-house sense! So, in Amazonia Pura, there is no wearing of the quaint little floofy-trousered type things worn by many pettes in the East in Tellurian days gone by? Although those were and are much more feminine than ever a modern trouser, fancy-dress or no, ever was!
I mostly wanted to know if 'twould be scored, should I don a gentleman's evening dress suit and ever be out with other Aristasian pettes, here in Telluria, and also if that sort of thing would ever be worn by a Brunette in Aristasia Pura, should I write a story some day when I've a better grasp on How Things Are There.

At the risk of being terribly improper, I would point out that Tellurian races differ from each other physically below the neck as well as above. Bifurcated garments on an Asian lady are never as, hmm, provocative, shall we say, as trousers on women of other races. There are good, even solid reasons that only traditionally dressed Asian women may wear bifurcs.
